Dog Friendly RV Parks in Colorado

We here at Colorado Mountain RV know how important our furry friends are to us. Our customers are always happily greeted by our Schnauzer/Scotty, Maggie. In fact, the puppy in the picture is my little Jack Russell mutt who, in reality, is my little furry baby. They are our constant companions, some of our best friends, and some of our favorite family members. But, what happens when we leave for a vacation? Dog-friendly hotels are hard to come by, and expensive when you do find them. So, why not get a "mobile hotel room" and take your furry friends wherever you go? RVing is a great option for pet owners, and most of our customers end up spending less money on vacations by buying an RV than when they had to pay all those extra hotel fees for bringing their four-legged family members along.

Now, you've got your awesome RV from us and you are wondering where the heck you're going to go from here? Well, I have personally compiled a list of RV parks and fun places to visit right here in Colorado that are 100% dog friendly (that means NO breed restrictions!)!

Estes Park:

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park: This little gem of a park has everything your "stay-cation" could want! There is a playground for children and a dog walking area for your pooch! There is also NO EXTRA FEE for your dog!

5495 Highway 36

Estes Park, Colorado 80517

Phone: 970-586-4230

Please do be aware, however, that Rocky Mountain National Park is NOT dog friendly at all. There are no trails for dogs, nor can they be out of your vehicle for any amount of time.

Pike and San Isabel National Forests: Dogs of all sizes and breeds are allowed in all campgrounds and on all trails. Dogs should be cleaned up after, and on no longer than a six foot leash. There is no additional charge for dogs.

2840 Kachina Drive

Pueblo, Colorado 81008

Jellystone Park: Dogs of all sizes and breeds are allowed for no additional fee. There is even a nice dog walking area on site! As usual, dogs should be polite and cleaned up after.

Sterling, Colorado 80751

Lake George

Eleven Mile State Park: Dogs of all sizes and breeds are allowed in the camp sites and on the trails. They are not permitted in the water. There is no additional fee for dogs.

Lake George, Colorado 80827

Glenwood Springs

Western Colorado RV Park: This RV park includes full hook-ups for your RV, and allows all sizes and breeds of dogs. There is, however, a $5 per-night and per-dog fee.

1308 County Road 129
Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601
